Wonderful Bakelite pin consisting of 8 carved and juicy cherries with Celluloid chain and green plastic leaves all hanging from a cherry red Bakelite bar pin; each cherry has been carved, put on a green plastic coated string as a stem, and clustered to form this remarkable piece of wearable art. Originally these were sold in inexpensive stores like Woolworth’s, one was able to buy matching earrings, necklaces, bracelets, dress clips all clanking cherries to accompany your 40′s dress…All vintage and original, pin back has safety…wonderful piece of Bakelite Americana. Cherries are ever so slightly marbled.
